Location is Everything for Manhattan Offices

There’s a popular real estate adage that the three most important considerations in buying property are location, location, and location. This is doubly true when looking for Manhattan office space . Companies looking to buy or lease offices in New York City have to worry not only about high costs, but about access to support services, vendors, transportation, and other factors when choosing a location.

Because Manhattan is such a desired address, the competition for commercial real estate has been known to drive prices off the scale. Some companies have actually found that it’s cheaper to rent virtual office space in Manhattan — for address and other purposes — while the actual work occurs in a cheaper part of the city. Others will pay the premium rents and cut costs in other areas or raise their own prices to compensate.

Proximity to public transportation , restaurants and some shopping options are important to employers that want to keep their employees happy. It is also a good idea to investigate crime statistics in specific neighborhoods or even streets in order to ensure the safety of staff, customers, and other visitors.

Businesses that have a lot of client interaction on the premises will want to make sure that there are amenities within an easy distance. This includes higher end restaurants and bars, entertainment options, and even hotels or other accommodations.

Choosing a Design for an Ebay Shop

Just as there are millions of shoppers who visit eBay looking for products, there are thousands and thousands of sellers for those buyers to choose from. If you are one of the sellers, you’re going to be looking for any advantage that will make your products stand out from the all the others. One of the easiest ways to rise above the crowd is to create a customized ebay shop design .

Several companies offer design templates that can be applied to an eBay store. These designs offer varying degrees of customization, which can make it difficult to choose the right one for your needs. By taking some time to outline your requirements in a store design, you’ll be ready to choose.

Since the best thing to do to set yourself is to develop a unique brand for your store, you need a design that will display your customized logo and will offer the ability to create a color scheme that works with that logo. A good design will let you customize the “about” section of your store.

Next, you want to find a design that allows for multiple sizes of product pictures and provides attractive product information . Since products are where you make your money, you should also look for the ability to group your inventory into categories and to cross promote related items. This will make it much easier for customers to find accessories and other products they may need, turning one sale into several.

Design templates should also offer customized search boxes, promotion boxes, and the ability to design and use flash elements. Lastly, the company should offer technical support and a good warranty for the design.

Imagine the fun and buzz you could create by renting a photo booth for your next big party. People will get caught up in taking candid photos with friends, dates, and family members. As long as they don’t break the machine by trying to stuff too many people in at one time, it can be the one thing that pushes your party from good to great.

Renting a party photo booth isn’t difficult. There are a number of companies that provide the services in most locations. It’s just a matter of researching what type of booth you want. This generally has to do with the features available with regards to the photos, though you may also want to make sure that the booth won’t clash with the color scheme of your party.

Different booths will offer different numbers of photos per strip. The size, print quality, and time it takes to print the photos are all factors that may affect your guests’ experience, so read brochures carefully and ask questions so that you know what you’re getting. Since the photo technology is now pretty much universally digital, you should even be able to customize the photos. Perhaps you can print the date of the event or a slogan that will remind people of the party.

If you take the chance of renting a photo booth, you won’t be disappointed in the enjoyment it will provide during the party and the fun you’ll have looking through your copies of the photos for years to come.

Post-Holiday Vacations

The idea of needing a vacation to recover from a vacation is good for a laugh, but only because it sometimes feels so very true. The other thing that many people need a vacation to recover from is the holiday season. Once the stress and strain of year-end socializing, gift-buying, and time with family have turned into the post-holiday blues many people would welcome even a brief getaway to rest and relax.

There are plenty of options when it comes to post-holiday vacations. Leaving the kids with grandparents or neighbors and heading off for a weekend with your significant other can provide a much needed time to recuperate and rebuild the connection that brought you together. Just pick a weekend in January or early February and mark it on the calendar.

If you think you really can’t afford a vacation, take a minute or two to search for online Hotel Deals . Maybe you can’t hop a plane and head to a major destination, but you could probably afford to drive to a nearby town and spend a quiet weekend together. Some people find that just checking into a hotel in their hometown, sans kids, pets, and work phones, is all it takes to recover from holiday stress.

Create a Great User Experience

The goal of most companies is to grow revenues in order to grow business. They seek out new ways to find and attract customer and better ways to meet consumer needs with innovative products and services. The ultimate goal is to turn a potential customer into a loyal brand advocate that not only returns again and again to the company, but also recommends it to friends, family, and anyone else they encounter.

Brand advocates have even more power now that the internet has created so many new ways to connect people. Some who has an outstanding User Experience with a company’s website, product, or service can now share that experience not only with their immediate circle of friends, but with complete strangers through review sites, blog posts, and forum comments. They can even mention the company in social media status updates or great a video extolling their experiences that can be viewed by anywhere from a few close friends to thousands of strangers.

This power is actually a two-edged sword. The same tools that let brand advocates become unofficial spokespeople for a company can be detrimental in the hands of a disgruntled customer. This is why it’s so vital that companies go out of their way to ensure that every customer — and even potential customers — have a good experience whenever they encounter the brand, interact with a website, or even watch a commercial.

Key Tags Becoming More Prevalent

For awhile there it looked like many people were going to have to carry two wallet around to hold all the cards, photos, and IDs that are a part of modern life. Not so long ago a wallet was filled with one drivers license, a few membership cards (including library and voting cards), and maybe a couple of credit and bank cards. That quickly exploded when every grocery store, video rental, and even department stores began having membership and rewards cards. Then came the restaurant and coffee shop points cards to accumulate free items after so many purchases.

Luckily, companies recognized that consumers needed an alternative and the key tag was born. These are miniature versions of the larger cards that come with a ready-made hole so that it can easily be attached to a key ring. These tags are made of durable plastic, usually PVC and carry the same barcode ID as a larger card. They are easily side over barcode readers at restaurants, grocery stores, department stores, etc. Even libraries and banks are offering key tag variations on traditional library cards and credit or debit cards.

These key tags are popular because they are faster to use. No fumbling in a wallet or purse to extract and then return a card. A tag is also far less likely to be lost, since it is attached to a keyring and not handed to a register clerk. It’s also much easier to flip through tags on a ring than locate one card amongst dozens in a crowded wallet. The appeal to consumers and the accumulated savings in time spent at the register are reasons why more and more retailers are switching to key tags and more and more customers are choosing to use the tags when given both a card and a tag.

Wall Murals Add Character to a Home

It used to be that home decor involved picking out furniture and painting the ways. Today home owners are demanding more original and unique design options. They want to be certain beyond any doubt that their home is one-of-a-kind. To make that certainty a reality, many decorators, both professional and do-it-yourselfers, are looking to wall murals as a creative design element.

The tradition of wall murals actually goes back to ancient times. The ruins of Greece and even Egypt show elaborate paintings on the walls of both public and private buildings. In the modern home, wall murals can be painted by an artist on commission or by the home owner with an artistic bent. Those tend to be time intensive and a bit pricer than the ready-made options.

It is now possible to purchase wall murals that are simply applied to an existing wall. They come in self-adhesive and hanging versions and the latter can also be glued. A great feature of these manufactured murals is that they can be easily changed out for a new mural later on. They come in standard designs and stock photos. Designers can also create their own murals by sending in a photo or design to have converted to mural size.

Clutter and Web Bookmarks

Running a search on organization or clutter in a search engine returns millions and millions of webpages. There are countless books, blogs, and even magazines out there dedicated to helping people get a handle on the clutter in their lives, to make their homes, offices, and computers easier to navigate. Clutter is the enemy, whether in a closet, a file cabinet, or an email in box.

While there are tons of television shows designed to helping hoarders and clutterbugs clear their homes, garages, and even offices, it’s not as glamorous to watch someone clean out an inbox or worse, clear out their web bookmark s. There are tips out there for these tasks, and there may even been demo videos somewhere. It’s just not the stuff of broadcast TV. However, removing clutter from one’s digital life is just as important as removing it from the physical environment.

Web bookmarks may seem like an irrelevant area when focusing on a clutter-free life, but is it really? Most people have bookmarks stored in multiple locations. They have web browsers on home and work computers with lists of favorites stored in each. They may have emails or chat logs that they have saved because someone sent them a cool link through it. They may even have social bookmarking account that they use to collect even more bookmarks. When it comes time to find a specific link, they have to check all those different places — and maybe some social networking site where they may have seen a link. Putting all those web bookmarks in a single place with a simple, organized system and periodically removing dead or irrelevant links, i.e., clutter, is a much better way to function online.

Kids & Halloween

Despite recent trends away from sanctioning official celebrations of Halloween in favor of “harvest” festivals in schools and communities across the US, there still remains a special connection between kids and Halloween. Sure, it’s the only time of the year they get to go door-to-door to ask for treats, but there’s more to it than that. For young people haven’t yet figured out who they are and who love to play, Halloween is the perfect holiday.

The trick in “trick or treat” has been downplayed in recent years, but haunted houses still provide kids the chance to play with things that scare them. There are also pumpkins to be carved, apples to be bobbed for, corn mazes to be traversed, and plenty of Halloween themed games and activies to enjoy.

Best of all, there’s the opportunity to explore different ideas of who a child wants to be. Many kids pick a profession to dress up as or a superhero or film character whose traits they want to emulate. Whether they are drawn to romantic beauty and the beast costumes or scary zombies or athletic superstars, Halloween gives kids the chance to be someone new every year.

Some Home Improvement Should be Done by Professionals

It’s quite evident that home improvement is one of the fast-growing areas of interest in the United States. Just turn on a television. Where two decades ago there were a few remodeling shows on PBS, today there are entire cable networks devoted to home improvement and decorating. Add to this the wealth of “do it yourself” websites, magazines, and books, and it seems that nearly everyone wants to improve their home in some way.

There’s very little danger in following the instructions on a blog, pamphlet or tv show to do minor home repairs and even decorating projects. Things like installing tile, painting a room, or installing window blinds can easily be accomplished by almost anyone. Those who are bit more handy can even attempt larger projects like installing cabinets or tackling minor plumbing. However, there are many projects that should be left in the hands of qualified professionals.

Relying on California solar installers or professional electricians isn’t just about keeping the construction industry going. Major projects are very complex and may involve thousands of minute adjustments that only experienced installers will understand. Large projects may require permits and inspections by local government agencies. Some may even require licensed or certified professionals in order to past inspection. All of this is best handled by qualified builders, plumbers, and electricians.
