The best marketing strategy — whether a company is a small consulting business or a large outsourcing corporation — is to get one’s customers to do as much of the advertising work as possible. The internet has made this so much easier. In fact, it has pretty much leveled the playing field when it comes to the ability to get direct access to consumers. No matter how small a company is, they can set up a website and take advantage of numerous other web properties in order to engage their customers and cultivate what are known as brand advocates .

Brand advocates are customers whose interest in and devotion to a company goes beyond mere loyalty. They are personally invested in the products and services of their favorite businesses and they will tell anyone and everyone about why they are the best and the brightest company out there.

The easiest way to make use of existing customers in marketing to potential customers is also the oldest: customer testimonials . For decades, if not centuries, businesses have used positive customer reviews and quotes in advertising and marketing materials. The difference is that on the internet these testimonials aren’t limited to company brochures or websites. They can be placed on social media sites and may take the format of audio files, photos, and videos, rather than just written quotes.

A really good way to cultivate brand advocates is by strategic use of a business blog . Companies should think of their blogs not as a constant press release, but as a forum for engaging with customers. They should write posts that are conversational and that invite customers to participate in a dialogue in the comments on each post. This will give customers a voice in the company. Savvy businesses will be sure to respond to comments in a respectful and inviting way, in order to encourage further conversation. Over time, that interested commenter will become a loyal advocate of the company, not just because of its products, but because of the way it values their input.

Just as there are millions of shoppers who visit eBay looking for products, there are thousands and thousands of sellers for those buyers to choose from. If you are one of the sellers, you’re going to be looking for any advantage that will make your products stand out from the all the others. One of the easiest ways to rise above the crowd is to create a customized ebay shop design .

Several companies offer design templates that can be applied to an eBay store. These designs offer varying degrees of customization, which can make it difficult to choose the right one for your needs. By taking some time to outline your requirements in a store design, you’ll be ready to choose.

Since the best thing to do to set yourself is to develop a unique brand for your store, you need a design that will display your customized logo and will offer the ability to create a color scheme that works with that logo. A good design will let you customize the “about” section of your store.

Next, you want to find a design that allows for multiple sizes of product pictures and provides attractive product information . Since products are where you make your money, you should also look for the ability to group your inventory into categories and to cross promote related items. This will make it much easier for customers to find accessories and other products they may need, turning one sale into several.

Design templates should also offer customized search boxes, promotion boxes, and the ability to design and use flash elements. Lastly, the company should offer technical support and a good warranty for the design.

The goal of most companies is to grow revenues in order to grow business. They seek out new ways to find and attract customer and better ways to meet consumer needs with innovative products and services. The ultimate goal is to turn a potential customer into a loyal brand advocate that not only returns again and again to the company, but also recommends it to friends, family, and anyone else they encounter.

Brand advocates have even more power now that the internet has created so many new ways to connect people. Some who has an outstanding User Experience with a company’s website, product, or service can now share that experience not only with their immediate circle of friends, but with complete strangers through review sites, blog posts, and forum comments. They can even mention the company in social media status updates or great a video extolling their experiences that can be viewed by anywhere from a few close friends to thousands of strangers.

This power is actually a two-edged sword. The same tools that let brand advocates become unofficial spokespeople for a company can be detrimental in the hands of a disgruntled customer. This is why it’s so vital that companies go out of their way to ensure that every customer — and even potential customers — have a good experience whenever they encounter the brand, interact with a website, or even watch a commercial.

For awhile there it looked like many people were going to have to carry two wallet around to hold all the cards, photos, and IDs that are a part of modern life. Not so long ago a wallet was filled with one drivers license, a few membership cards (including library and voting cards), and maybe a couple of credit and bank cards. That quickly exploded when every grocery store, video rental, and even department stores began having membership and rewards cards. Then came the restaurant and coffee shop points cards to accumulate free items after so many purchases.

Luckily, companies recognized that consumers needed an alternative and the key tag was born. These are miniature versions of the larger cards that come with a ready-made hole so that it can easily be attached to a key ring. These tags are made of durable plastic, usually PVC and carry the same barcode ID as a larger card. They are easily side over barcode readers at restaurants, grocery stores, department stores, etc. Even libraries and banks are offering key tag variations on traditional library cards and credit or debit cards.

These key tags are popular because they are faster to use. No fumbling in a wallet or purse to extract and then return a card. A tag is also far less likely to be lost, since it is attached to a keyring and not handed to a register clerk. It’s also much easier to flip through tags on a ring than locate one card amongst dozens in a crowded wallet. The appeal to consumers and the accumulated savings in time spent at the register are reasons why more and more retailers are switching to key tags and more and more customers are choosing to use the tags when given both a card and a tag.

One of the growing trends in various fields as well as lifestyles across the world is to turn green. And while as recently as fifty years ago, that phrase would be associated with envy or little aliens in space ships, today turning green has an incredibly respected and important meaning. Environmental awareness is not only hip, it is essential to ensuring that humans are able to continue to survive and thrive on this planet. And for this reason, many companies are making their facilities, products and services as environmentally friendly as possible. And when you plan your next visit to the local trade show, it is important to let consumers as well as professional peers know that you are committed not only to excellent quality but also environmental responsibility.

What better way to demonstrate this than with orienting your booth and presentation with environmentally friendly trade show displays ? This is actually much easier and affordable than what many business owners realize and the amount of designs and products that are available is as diverse and technologically sophisticated as any other product. You can have any entire fold out display and stand up board presentation that will not only highlight the features of your company but will also demonstrate your commitment to the future and environmental responsibility. It is extremely easy to be creative with trade show designs and one of the primary competitive aspects of companies today is their commitment to going green . Show yours, and you will be sure to attract new consumers and maintain the respect of your peers.

When television first made its way into homes, it was an object of deep curiosity, and eventually became its own entertainment source. As it started to grow in popularity, experts in human psychology and educational development began to warn people of the possible effects on the attention span of television watchers. This was particularly focused on children’s development.

The same phenomenon has happened with the internet. No one could have predicted that something would eventually become more popular than television, but that is how the world is today. Because there are so many sites, and so much information available to users at any time, the short attention span has become even more marked than with television. Users know that whatever they might be looking at, there are thousands of other sites that might be offering images and information that’s more interesting. Fads and fashions come and go at an unprecedented rate.

Yet, the same phenomenon is something that advertisers can use to their best advantage. Creating the perfect ad campaign is one thing, but the pay per click model of advertising poses a host of new challenges. With the right pay per click management services , one can turn over the more daunting prospects of the work and focus on image and content. It’s a new frontier.

Although it’s been years since the last initial public offering went up on the Toronto Stock Exchange, but now there are a few new companies going up right now in the real estate, trust investment sectors. Most notable of these is Transglobe Property Management Services. Going public with an IPO estimated to be worth between $200 million to $250 million, this is big news both for Toronto and for the company that has grown substantially in the last few years. Offering services to help student’s find a place to live in Canada near a prominent collage, or just helping people find peace of mind as they move cross country into new territory, they have kept many people very happy with a continued spirit of service. The deal is being lead by CIBC World Markets which is hopeful for the future of the company.

There are many pros and cons involved in going public but it appears to be sure that this is going to be all pros for Transglobe as they will be able to expand farther and help more people. As it is they offer a number of great programs for all people including those who could not otherwise afford housing. Offering professional leasing advise for seniors who are reaching a time in their life when they are less sure about legal matters than before, as well as offering selective discounts to those who are living on a small budget and need the assistance the most. All of their places are quality minded and checked to make sure that it fits the living standards necessary to live comfortably.

There are also programs for people moving to Canada for the first time, or moving across Canada unable to make the trip and check out houses before hand. You are able to search their website by area, affordability and type of living space you are looking for. They also provide links for getting Canadian citizenship for those coming from another country making this a one stop shop for people looking to move there for any reason. It is no wonder this company is valued so high for the initial shares.

America used to be a country where people stayed at the same job for their entire life. They put in their twenty or thirty or sometimes more years and in return the company offered them a nice retirement plan that they could use to live off of for their remaining years. Much has changed in the last fifty or so years. While companies still offer retirement packages , there are fewer and fewer employees who would qualify. Companies are lucky if we stick around for five years, much less twenty. We have very much become serial employees, constantly moving from job to job as we make our way up the corporate ladder. That doesn’t mean that we can’t take advantage of the programs that our current job might offer as a way to help improve our skills.
Employee training is offered by many companies as a way to help you improve in your current position. You learn new skills and techniques to help you be more efficient as well as any new procedures or expectations that the company might have. This might seem like a waste of time if you don’t plan on sticking around for long, but on the contrary it might prove very beneficial. Some companies offer certification for completing different training sessions, which could help you land your next big break. And everyone could use a refresher to help them keep their skills sharp.
If you really want to prepare for the future, utilize any business training your company offers. These courses often include seminars that will help you improve your public speaking skills or your leadership skills. If you have big dreams of going corporate someday, increasing your business training is the way to get there.
Working in any business is very much a game of cat and mouse. You have to be constantly improving if you want to stay in the game. No matter how menial the job may seem right now, use the time and opportunities to your advantage so that when your big break comes you’ll be ready for it.

One of the many neighborhoods worth a visit in Vancouver, Canada is Chinatown. Over the years, many of the cities Asian population has moved out of the city to the suburb of Richmond, however the neighborhood remains delicately charming and relatively non-touristy. As in many large cities in North America, the cultures are eclectic and varied, each one with their own Chinatown. The Canadian Chinatown is one of the largest on the continent.

Many of the rental properties in this neighborhood and those surrounding are in good hands with TransGlobe Property Management, and the sense of community is carried over from the streets of the neighborhoods to the buildings and the businesses themselves. In Canada, many of the Asian population are Cantonese speaking and for them now, Chinatown is the place to go to do their shopping.

For those populations as well as everyone else, this is one of the best districts to go out to dinner. This is one of the neighborhoods which was founded and settled at the same time the city was, by many of the migrant workers who came in to construct the Canadian Pacific Railroad. During this time, the tension between the races was such that there were walls built that surrounded Chinatown for security.

By the 1950′s the area had fallen into shambles, and couple of decades later, during the 1970′s the city had considered tearing it all down completely and building a highway. But the public protested and the neighborhood was rebuilt. TransGlobe Property Management and others renovated the existing structures, and it remains one of the many wonderful neighborhoods to spend some time in when traveling through the city of Vancouver. The neighborhood is filled with restaurants and market places and the culture of the many who were there when the city was born.

Corporate team building programs utilize a variety of activities that are structured to improve the overall team performance. Bonding exercises enhance trust between employees, and some of the team building meetings take place over weekend retreats. These activities work for all kinds of teams, not just those in the boardrooms of Wall Street. This is important in all environments wherein a group of people must work together. They encourage communication, development of the individual members, skills of leadership and the ability for people to work together closely as parts of the whole.

The history of the concept of building teams, that focus on this “whole” rather than individual achievements, is long. Sigmund Freud had a theory of group dynamics, as did many others that followed him. Research was done early on in the 1900′s, at the Center for Research in Group Dynamics, and those studies have influenced the theories of today. Business training focuses now on the team effort, and how that affects and contributes to the success of the company. During the 1970′s ideas and theories that were based on the studies of teams during WWII were used for corporate cultures.

Before this time, individual successes were more celebrated than those of collective teams. But the United States began to rethink these ideas, and companies became focused on building strong teams, and the implementations for rewarding the team, became the focus. Firms were called in, who specialized in training teams, and in turning them into successful and cooperative organizations. These consultants will generally interact with the teams just a bit, just enough to get them started on their way of building relationships and trusts with one another.

They assess, and make their recommendations about how they see the team or the company can go about improving on their ideas and practices. This is particularly important in this day and age, when companies may be struggling to make their bottom line. Two heads are better than one, and a team can take on more than an individual can. Everyone takes care of each other, and the result is that everyone takes care of the company.
