Anyone, given the opportunity, would gladly spend their time wisely to earn enough of these to fill the coffers. But the top of the tier has always been the diamond. It is unsurpassed in terms of sheer beauty, and has an appeal that very few people on earth don’t recognize.

In the Renaissance, the diamond was recognized in the science of alchemy as the the pinnacle. This was the thing that served to symbolize the highest wisdom attainable by a human being still bound in an earthly body. It also served to illustrate the possibilities for perfection on earth. The old adage, “As above, so below,” meant that the earth could be a reflection of the heavenly spheres, and it could also serve as a kind of map for philosophers.

It’s not necessary to be a philosopher of the soul in order to understand the appeal of loose diamonds wholesale . But it certainly doesn’t hurt. Knowing the history of valuable objects can help to make their pursuit and appreciation much more dimensional.
